Plant construction and infrastructure projects are often characterized by delays and cost overruns and by disputes among the parties of the project. During the course of a project risks materialize which were underestimated at the beginning of the project and which lead to disputes among the project parties about who has to bear the consequences.
Conflict and risk management in principle
I am active in both areas – as neutral third party and advocate in the field of dispute settlement by Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and arbitration – and as adviser in the field of risk management. Through establishment of a risk management system for plant contruction and infrastructure projects risks will be identified early on, they will be assessed and their consequences will be mitigated.
